This year marks my 3rd year teaching 7th grade Writing at McDowell Middle School. I truly enjoy teaching Writing and spending my days getting to know my students. I believe 7th grade is the most exciting year in Middle School because students begin participating in extracurricular activities and most will become teenagers!

I was born and raised in Austin, TX and have fond memories of growing up in beautiful Central Texas. I moved to New Braunfels in 2002 where I met, and later married, my husband. We welcomed our beautiful daughter (and only child) just 1 day shy of our first wedding anniversary!  My husband and I will celebrate our 12th anniversary this fall and our daughter will be a 5th grader at Woolls! My husband is a chef and we own a small restaurant in Castroville, which we named after our daughter. Our favorite thing to do, when we have time, is travel and explore new places!

In 2007 we moved to Hondo and we've really enjoyed getting to know the people of this wonderful community! We love the Hondo Owl spirit and I am pleased to be a part of the teaching staff! I consider it a great privilege to teach your children and I look forward to an OWLstanding year!
